Winter Olympics

So I sat watching the Olympics last night and thought I wish I could be there. The beautiful northwest was calling my name. I guess watching it on TV with your favorite friends at your favorite local grill & pub is the next best thing.
I like to watch without the commentary because I swear the commentators mess up the athletes by jinxing them. They’ll say, “She’s had trouble with this landing all week,” and low and behold she’ll fall or “He’d better be careful not to take out his team mate,” and he does. It takes the fun out of watching the competition when they make those calls.

Mainly I like the fact that so many countries get together and become one for a brief while. It is nice to know that we can still have international events such as this despite the trouble in parts of the world. Well, enough of my soap box. I’m ready to watch some more so come on down and hang with me.
